Our website uses cookies to provide you with certain functionalities (for example, to place an item in your shopping cart). Cookies are small text files that are saved to your device. Most of the cookies we use are deleted once you leave our website (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us to recognise your device the next time you return to our site. You can open up saved cookies at any time and delete them if required, or prevent cookies from being saved by your browser by changing your browser settings (instructions can be found through your browser’s help function). However, should you choose to do so, you will not be able to use all the functionality available in our online store.

To help us continuously improve and optimise our offerings, we use so-called tracking technology. Web analysis tools provide us with statistics and graphs that give us information on how our website is being used. RockingCarpets.ch uses mostly Google Analytics (Alphabet Inc.). Any information generated by the cookies regarding your use of RockingCarpets.ch is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it is saved.

The IP address (shortened form) Google analytics obtains from your browser is not combined with other Google data.

As outlined earlier, you can change the settings on your browser to disable cookies or prevent them from being installed. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing the data it obtains through your website activities (this includes your IP address) by downloading and installing the corresponding browser plug-in.

Our website uses social media plug-ins such as Facebook, Instagram, Google+ or Houzz. These plug-ins are clearly indicated using the logo of the respective provider, e.g. through Like or Share buttons.

When you call up internet sites containing plug-ins such as these, your browser creates a direct link to the provider’s server. By linking the plug-in, the provider receives information that you have accessed RockingCarpets.ch. If you are logged into this social medial provider while on our website, the provider will assign this visit to your profile. When you interact with the plug-ins, i.e. by clicking on a Like button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is transferred directly to the provider and saved to the provider’s server.

If you do not want social media providers to collect information about you via RockingCarpets.ch, be sure to log out of your social media account before visiting our website. The social media provider can then only collect anonymous data that cannot be linked directly to your profile. However, the provider will still save a cookie to your device. This means that if you log into your social media account before the cookies in question are deleted from your device, the social media provider will assign this information to your profile.

To find out more on how your information is used, as well as your respective rights and how you can change settings to protect your personal data, please refer to the provider’s data protection instructions.

If you do not want the providers to collect information about you via cookies, you can activate the “Block third party cookies” function. Once you activate this setting, your browser will no longer save cookies for embedded contents from other providers. We would like to point out, however, that this setting may prevent certain functionalities on our website.
